June Pierpont Webster holds a degree in painting from the University of Connecticut.
For many years she taught art to adults and children at several Connecticut based organizations: the New Britain Museum of American Art, Artsplace of Cheshire, Gallery 53 of Meriden, the Cheshire Academy and in the Cheshire Public School System. June was recently awarded Select Member Status with the Allied Artists of America, Inc of New York City. She is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society, the Transparent Watercolor Society of America, the New England Watercolor Society, the North East Watercolor Society and the Connecticut Watercolor Society. She also holds memberships in the Connecticut Women Artists Association, the Academic Artists Association of Massachusetts and the New Haven Paint and Clay Club, New Haven, Connecticut. June has won several awards in exhibits across the United States including the American Watercolor Society and Allied Artists of America in New York City, the Transparent Watercolor Society, Kenosha, Wisconsin, the Connecticut Watercolor Society, the North East Watercolor Society, the New England Watercolor Society, the New Haven Connecticut Paint and Clay Club, the Connecticut Women Artists Association, the Academic Artists Association of Massachusetts, the New Britain Museum of American Art Members’ Show and the Keystone National Juried Works on Paper Show, Mechanicsburg, PA. She has also exhibited with the National Watercolor Society, San Pedro, California, Artists of the Northeast at the Silvermine Guild, New Canaan, Connecticut, the Salmagundi Club, New York City, the New Haven Brush and Palette Club Portrait Shows, the Old Lyme Artists’ Association, Old Lyme, Connecticut, and at the Mattatuck Museum, Waterbury, Connecticut. She sells paintings to private and corporate collectors and is part of the New Britain Museum of American Art’s permanent collection, the New Haven Paint and Clay Club’s permanent collection and the Connecticut Artists Collection at the UCONN Medical Center. June displays her work at the Six Summit Gallery, Westbrook CT and the Depot Gallery, Ludlow, VT. She lives in Cheshire, Connecticut with her husband, Peter, and has three grown children.
